Yoga is for everyone! At Haven Yoga, we offer beginner’s yoga and yoga for anyone wanting to get back into their practice.

We offer a 6 session yoga course, spread over 3 weeks. Each session has a specific focus that will help you to awaken your inner joy and bring strength, health and resilience to your body, mind and soul. Our experienced teacher with decades’ experience, Jane Toohey, teaches this course.

It gives people new to yoga the chance to try it out and determine what type of yoga suits them. It gives people who have lapsed in their yoga practice the chance to get back into the flow of things.

We believe yoga and meditation is for everyone, and no one should feel intimidated by any yoga class.


This course will run over 3 weeks for 3 x Tuesday evenings at 6pm starting 9th August and 3 x Friday mornings at 7am starting 12th August. So the full 6 sessions are completed by 26th August.


  • Session 1: What is Yoga? How does the breathing integrate?
  • Session 2: Basic Poses and Their Benefits
  • Session 3: Practice a Simple Flow Class with Closing Relaxation
  • Session 4: Advanced Poses and Their Benefits
  • Session 5: Restorative Yoga and the Perfect Savasana
  • Session 6: Building Strength, Flexibility and a Deeper Meditation

You will also learn...

Some of the theories behind the practices and poses and you will gain an understanding of how yoga is affecting your body and mind. Through the six-sessions you will receive personalised guidance and mentoring to encourage your own participation and enjoyment. The group sessions also allow for a beautiful connected community to form, as yogis we develop connections in a shared space of peace and fundamentally, joy.
